Volunteer Awards
It rewards volunteers from Saint-Avold or local associations based in the municipality, involved in sport, culture, leisure, humanitarian work, health, social action, advocacy and education. The prize is awarded every year on World Volunteer Day in December.

Rules for the Volunteer Award
Preamble
More than 14 million volunteers are active in the French voluntary sector. Feeling useful and doing something for others is the driving force behind these volunteers, who get involved in fields as diverse as sport, culture or leisure, humanitarian work, health or social action, defending rights or education.
Article 1
The Prix du Bénévolat is open to all volunteers in the Saint-Avold area.
Article 2
The Prix du Bénévolat rewards a volunteer for his or her exemplary career and investment within one or more associations, or an association for the quality and interest of an action carried out by volunteers within or on behalf of an association.
Article 3
The Prix du Bénévolat is endowed with a sum of 1,000 euros.
Article 4
The Prix du Bénévolat is awarded by a jury made up of the Mayor, members of the Commission de la Vie associative and two paid-up members of the committee of the "Association de sauvetage et de Secourisme de la Moselle" chaired by Roland BRACONNIER. The jury's decisions are final.

Once completed, it should be sent to the above postal address.
Article 6
The deadline for submission is set annually, as evidenced by the postmark.
Article 7
The jury's results are announced to participants at the Volunteer Award ceremony. The prize will be awarded to the winner in the presence of the press at an awards ceremony to be held in December on World Volunteer Day.
Article 8
Participation in the Prix du Bénévolat implies full knowledge and acceptance of the present rules.
Good to know: In 2010, the town created the Prix du Bénévolat to recognize the work of volunteers in associations.
