WHAT'S IT FOR?

The legalization of a signature serves to authenticate your own signature when it is affixed to deeds drawn up and signed by private individuals, without the presence of a notary. The procedure serves to verify that you are the person to whom the document refers. You need to go to your local town hall with your identity document.

The document must be signed in the presence of a member of staff in order to legalize the signature.
