Social cohesion
SOCIAL COHESION, SOLIDARITY AND DAILY LIFE - A FIRST FOR THE CITY!
In collaboration with the Fédération des Centres Sociaux de Moselle, and with the technical support of Mr Christophe ZUNINO, two civic service volunteers have been recruited to work on the "fight against the digital divide and solidarity support for the CCAS" in the Saint-Avold area.
Mrs Edhabia Naciri was able to meet the new volunteers, who have already started working in a coordinated fashion in the field.
The aim is to combat the loneliness and isolation of vulnerable people throughout the year. This includes helping people with French language difficulties with administrative formalities, facilitating their access to local cultural and sporting activities, recreating social links between themselves and with cultural and social associations, and setting up projects to encourage social mixing and intergenerational interaction.
In addition, the aim is to support the mobilization of young people seeking employment and to combat discrimination, while promoting encounters between young people and the elderly through events and support for cultural activities.

An Adulte Relais - Médiateur Social has also been set up in the Carrière-Wenheck district (with the support of the Moselle Prefecture, Ms Hickethier, and the Sub-Prefecture, Ms Husson Bouzidi, Déléguée du Préfet Politique de la Ville).
The aim is to foster links and dialogue with young people. The mediator acts as an interface between young people, parents, landlords and municipalities, offering support in line with city policy measures. They also work to integrate young people into initiatives run by landlords and local authorities, by offering them access to suitable structures.
Mediators are required to sign agreements with landlords prior to their intervention, and to help limit disturbances to public peace by facilitating neighborly relations, resolving conflicts and reminding people of the rules of community life and good citizenship.
Lastly, mediators take part in bodies and measures to prevent and combat delinquency.
